When the path gets too bumpy

Last week, I received a beautiful response from a person.  I had written about how sometimes God allows disappointing circumstances in our life and it is up to on how we can respond.  Typically, it all has to do with trust.  If we truly trust God as the One who is in control of our lives, that He has a plan and a purpose, than we can respond well to not only our circumstance, but also to other people.  When we don’t trust, then… we have a tendency to not respond well to our circumstanced or to people around us.

Joe B. wrote, “When I do my work I like to have good tools. Imagine what God’s “shop” looks like!  I told my dad in January that I always pray that a path will be put in front of me to follow. He asked me what I do when that path gets too rough and bumpy. I told him that’s when I pray for a better suspension!”

We certainly have all experienced our share of bumps on the road.  Life can be a rough ride – but it also can be a great adventure.  With the right suspension, we can handle the roughest of rides.  I think Joe’s prayer for a better suspension is right on!  And that suspension can only be supplied by God.
